    About Me...No Really...

So a few things I've been ruminating*...

#1: What's that old motto? "If you like our work, tell others. If you don't, tell us." Well that's our motto here at http://formeforonce.blogspot.com. . . . OK, really just the first part. If you don't like it, hard cheese. Ok, I'm kidding, tell me. But seriously be nice and remember my fragile ego. But seriously seriously tell other people if you like it.

#2: You, faithful reader, are who I'm writing to, so in the spirit of the second part of #1 (see how giving I am?), tell me what YOU want ME to write about! Wanna know more about my family? I may or may not divulge, but you can ask! My house? My pets? My favorite perfume? (It's Mary Kay's "Elige", by the way) What do I love about my van, my city, my haircut? All valid questions, and I'd really love to write about some of the things YOU want to know about. So shoot me an email, or better yet leave a comment and speak up. Ask and you shall receive!

#3: About 7 minutes of Yo Gabba Gabba is long enough. The kids are happily zombified for the moment, but I couldn't hack it. The Party In My Tummy was more fun than I could handle.

#4: You should seriously check out my very good friend Deb's BLOG: http://missivesfromsuburbia.blogspot.com/. She's totally famous. I swear! She was on the Today show two weeks ago, and I stood in my kitchen giggling my ass of the whole time I watched her dangerously-close-to-perfect self be brilliant in front of MILLIONS. And her blog is action-packed, fun-filled and she's a good egg (and one of my coolest girlfriends ever). Check her out!

Hi Cathy. Remember my success with Milan's diet? He lost 17 pounds. Not in a few weeks, but in 3 months, and he's really keeping them off, and loosing one here and there even now! That means that the "diet" has progressed already to include more stuff, but in small quantities: the occasional going out to the restaurant without restriction, the piece of chocolate every day, maybe even a sandwich. The "diet" goes like:

It's salad and meat every evening, and of course a fruit for desert. At lunch, a Lean Cuisine type of frozen food - less than 450 cal. Desert is important. Fruits are good sugars, so go strawberries, mangos, oranges, cataloupes - whatever you like. The salad, I make the vinaigrette myself though, it's basic vinegar (red or white wine), and extra light olive oil - with your choice of spices, and a tiny pinch of sugar to quench the acidity of the vinegar - all mixed in a mug and then poured on the salad. Salad has a lot of good things, like cucumbers, tomatos, radishes, corn... Sometime we eat only salad, but then it has tuna and eggs, or (un)frozen shrimps... It's really not that bad. The meat, mostly made in the pan, chiken breast, pork chops, beef, whatever really, even cold cuts like ham and salami (well, these are not cooked). Oh yeah, there's also a little bit of excercise, but 4 miles running 1 or 2 times per week should be fine... The bottom line is: avoid pasta, bread, rice and potatos - these are slow sugars, great for stocking up - cakes might be to be avoided too...

So, I realize you didn't ask that much info, but it's free, girl !

Anyway, I keep my fingers crossed that your good will is continuing.
